xaq_the_aereon: I caught it...now what? (Default)

With the team recharged and ready to go, I start my ascent up Mount Lanakila. Whoever thought trying this with a short-sleeved shirt was a good thing is an idiot...Erinys, keep everyone warm, could you please?

An early Sneasel encounter brings Rimefrost to 63, and then I run into Ace Trainer Seth, aka Vlad Tepes Dracula from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. But enough talk...as he puts it:

[HAVE AT YOU!]
[ROUND 1: vs Scyther]
Flamethrower roasts it rather quickly.
[ROUND 2: vs Malamar]
I'm not familiar with this one. Sounds like a poisonous duck? Despite this I send out Serenity just because she's the only one still at 62...seriously, how did my starter wind up at the back of the pack?...and find out it's the evolved form of Inkay. Alright then, guess Serenity was the right choice. Moonblast mops it up pretty quick.

He drops the C:SotN impersonation afterwards and asks for a moment with his team. Sure thing, dude. Later. After that, I find Ace Trainer Kailee doing figure-eights around a pair of rocks. I could bypass her...but if I'd done that I wouldn't know her name, now would I?

[ROUND 1: vs Shiinotic]
*coughflamethrowercough*
[ROUND 2: vs Clefable]
Again I swap Serenity in for the Exp despite everything having medium effectiveness...fortunately, there's a Z-Move for that. She hits the high note and dunks her Oceanic Operetta on it for the win. Just past her is a Machamp Shove puzzle that opens a path back to the start
[YAY!]
and gets interrupted by Worker Ovid and his 1 Pokemon.
[...BOO?]
I guess?

[VS Relicanth]
...Rock and Water. 2 things that Fire doesn't work worth a damn against. Okay Erinys, time to tag out and let Serenity get enough Exp to hit 63. Relicanth hits her with Double-Edge first, however, to minimal effect. Then she Moonblasts it down to 1 and shrugs off a Hydro Pump. Psychic wraps it up and gives her the level up to catch up to the team...after which I cheat and use a Rare Candy to put her in the lead where she should have been all along. Sorry about that, sweetie. ^_^;;

Finishing the Machamp Shove puzzle scores some decent items, but turns out to be a dead end otherwise. Phooey. Just as I go to leave I run into a Glalie. I leave Rimefrost out of this so she doesn't have to look at her ugly step-brother and, having moved Serana to the front, go for a Hurricane to blow it away. Atta girl. ^_^

Back outside the grass proves uneventful, but there's 4 Black Belts lining the way to the next cave, turning back and forth to a rhythm of 4 punches. Dammit, now I've got that tune from Chou Aniki stuck in my head. :[ Just for that I'm taking advantage of their turnarounds and skipping this bit. The next bit leads to a rather gorgeous looking outdoor scene with some sort of...crater...

...

So this is where you landed when you came back to our world. I have to say, Necrozma...compared to our last battle, you look like you've been through hell. It seems losing Solgaleo's light was a real problem for you, huh?

Don't worry. The Problem Solvers are here for you. The light of my Z-Ring should help you get back on your equivalent of feet...and it seems you want to thank me for this by attacking me.

[A BATTLE FOR THE AGES BEGINS NOW]

Bullshit it does. I've been saving this just for you.

MASTER BALL, GO!!

[HOLY ANTICLIMACTIC FINALES, BATMAN!]
Yes, that it is. Still, the Blinding One has now been brought into the warm light of friendship and Poke Pelago...and for this, I think it deserves a nice nickname to honor how it used to share its light with the worlds. Welcome, Lightbringer.

[...THAT'S THE BEST YOU CAN COME UP WITH?]
Shut up. Anyway, it seems Necrozma had an Ultranecrozium-Z with it. Gee, wonder what that does. :p ...Maybe Mr. Colress will be able to answer now that he's here? He was helping the Ultra Recon Squad out, after all.

...Or he could just twist their desire for him to build a device to control Necrozma into one that can draw more power out of it...by fusing it back with Nebby. Genius, dude. Seriously. To congratulate my epic win **COUGHCOUGH** over Necrozma, he gives the device, the N-Solarizer, to me. He also gives me its Lunala counterpart, the N-Lunarizer. Nice names, dude. Really. ...Given what little I know about Black/White, though, I guess he would be the go-to person for dealing with fusing Pokemon, though.

...Well, my apologies for making this a short entry, but honestly I think "catching a Legendary Pokemon" is a good stopping point, even if my method of catching it was completely underhanded.

G'night, all.
