This is, hands down, THE most incredible piece of fan-writing of any sort that I have ever read.

The fact that I say this when I'm nowhere near FINISHED yet says volumes about it. And "volumes" is quite fitting here. This isn't a simple 2-page lemon or some lame Mary Sue fanfic. This is a freaking NOVEL.

No, seriously. It's at least 50 chapters long, and in the past 2 nights I've only gotten up to chapter 20. Reading almost non-stop.....holy cow, I'm actually being absorbed into a piece of literature. This hasn't happened since I got introduced to The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I have to admit... even when you use them "properly" those cursed magical items DO seem to screw with you SOMEHOW.
