ACNH IJE 17: MAYDAY! MAYDAY!

Well yeah, but it also had a bit of an impact on me that has me feeling rather WTF'd, so...

Anyway, a few days ago I went ahead and did the May Day event, which involves going through a rather fun maze to meet Rover and win some prizes. I went through it twice in order to get all the Bell Vouchers, but what really hit me about it was one trick you do:

Basically, by scarfing down a piece of fruit, you can uproot an entire tree with a shovel. Roots and all, walk around with a whole freaking forest in your pockets.

...This had unintended consequences.

[LONG STORY SHORT, HE UPROOTED EVERY SINGLE TREE ON SIVANRIS AND REPLANTED THEM IN A MORE URBAN MANNER, CREATING ORGANIZED PATHWAYS ALL AROUND THE ISLAND]

I've been at that since yesterday and I finished up a little while ago. At this point the only bit of landscaping/infrastructure work I have to do is putting in one last bridge across the northwestern river to allow easier transit between the two hill regions.

Unfortunately, that will require unlocking the terraforming options, as no spot along the river will support a bridge. The most irritating part is that the ideal spot is literally one chunk of land off of being able to accept a bridge being built.

Oh yeah, good point. I paid off the Second Floor loan today, so as of tomorrow my basement will be installed!

But yeah, doing all this de-/re-forestation across the whole island just feels crazy, even if the end result is quite nice to look at.

I won't say exactly what unlocks the terraforming options in case you'd rather be surprised, but I will say that, from what I know and have heard about your adventures in Sivanris, you're pretty close. And yeah, something like adding literally one single extra tile just to make a bridge work shouldn't be a problem at all; I do stuff like that all the time in Tharotia.
