<lj-cut text="SPOILER ALERT. DO ***NOT*** READ THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T BEATEN KH 1, CoM, & 2 **AND** SEEN THE SECRET ENDING TO KH2!!">This is some speculation I've made after watching the "Keyblade War" video a few times (<a href="http://youtube.com/watch?v=31SBHPYaVes"Catch it here if you want to see it again</a>).
Those 3 figures that were shown...I've heard people say that they were Kairi, Riku, and Sora. I read an interview with the game's creator, Tetsuya Nomaru, saying "BZZT. WRONG."
My guess on those three is that they are SORTA the 3 heroes...namely, their "Chasers", the things mentioned in the word-flash towards the end of the video. The Chasers, in my theory, complete the triad started by the Heartless and Nobodies.
A Heartless is formed from the corruption of a person's heart, bereft of body and soul. A Nobody is the corruption of a person's body, bereft of heart and soul. My guess is a Chaser is the corruption of a person's soul, bereft of heart and body. The armor those three were wearing would probably be a vessal for the corrupted soul of a Chaser.
As for why they're called Chasers? I believe they'll probably be hunting down their hearts (or Heartless, rather) and bodies (Nobodies) in an effort to become whole again, or possibly to destroy them in an effort to become whole by being the only part of themselves LEFT.
And then you've got all the freakin' Keyblades...given how much a Keyblade seems to represent its bearer (Cloud's "Metal Chocobo" and "Fenrir", for example), I think they might be a by-product of the creation of a soul. The Chasers could be out looking for those as well, seeking their purity as a balance to their own corruption, or perhaps to corrupt the Keyblades and bring about the other side of the legend Ansem mentions in his report, where the Keyblade brings chaos and ruin.
As for who you'll be playing as...I'm guessing they might give Donald and Goofy a little bit of a break by adding in Riku and Kairi as playable characters, starting you off with a 5-man...well, 2-boy, 1-girl, 1-duck, 1-dog team.
Okay, that's it for me.</lj-cut>
If you read that and got hit with any spoilers, IT'S YOUR OWN FNARKING FAULT, YA MORON. :b

Sora and Kairi's nobodies, Roxas and Naminé, apparently can manifest independantly of them despite having been retuned to their progenitors (q.v., again, the ending of KH2). Roxas can wield a blade when independant of Sora, so it would be reasonable to assume Naminé could as well, once Kairi's keyblade manifests.
What in the world are they going to do with (potentially) seven keyblades floating around in the starting party (plus Micky's wherever he's at by then).

Roxas and Naminé? I think their story is pretty much over for now. They may make some token appearances, but I doubt they'll actually be playing a prominent role. They found/reunited with their true selves and each other, a bit too much of a happy ending for Disney to want to spoil, I'd think.
So really, I think they'd just be starting with, at most, 3....4 if you count Mickey's, as Shaun called it, Magic Kingdom Key.

I mean, Sora can use dual blades because Roxas exists, or so I'm guessing. And Riku always was supposed to have a key, but he turned to the darkness and got one from THERE too.
But eh. That's just me thinking about that bit. I'm FAIRLY SURE that Sora, Kairi, and Riku are mostly out of the picture. As Xaq said, that ending was a little too happy for Disney to want to spoil. AND I might point out that, short of interstellar crisis, you couldn't drag any of those three off the Islands now. >:P
But yeah. The Chasers idea makes a good bit of sense. I mean, they still haven't yet completed the trinity of Body, Heart, and Soul yet.
And we STILL Don't quite know Zexion... or Ienzo, who in a sense started this whole mess.

GASP!
Anyway, I doubt the Destiny Island kids are out of the picture just yet. They've had too much taste for adventure to just sit around. If that message from Mickey said he needed help, I imagine they'll all 3 be going this time. Still, like Arturus said, 3+ Keyblades at once would be getting a bit ridiculous. Maybe Kairi'll use something else, like Donald's staves?
Still, 2 things I'd really like to see from KH3:
-Squaresoft games that don't have "Final Fantasy" in the name used for character reference. I mean, c'mon, wouldn't you want to cross swords with Crono or the kids from Secret of Mana? (Ooooo, THAT'D be nice.)
-SQUARESOFT Summons mixed in with Disney summons. I mean, Mushu, Stitch, and Genie were alright, but dammit, I WANT BAHAMUT!

Yeah, I should hope so, but then again.... They've thrown some pretty heavy-handed wrenches in things before, and Square-Enix is the primary author for the series now (Disney handed most of it over to them after the first game, and certainly wouldn't have gone the direction the game took in CoM and KH2).
So really, I think they'd just be starting with, at most, 3....4 if you count Mickey's, as Shaun called it, Magic Kingdom Key.
Even three is already getting kinda rediculous.... The only time more than two popped up in the same place was near enough to the end of KH2 that you had the option of jumping right to The World that Never Was.
